How to customise the layouts of your pages

To customise the layout settings, open up the Layout Settings tab in the customiser.

After clicking on this tab you will see 7 more tabs. Each of these tabs corresponds to a different part of your website:

Let’s take a look at these tabs in more detail:

Blog Page

Slideshow

If you are using a theme that has the option to show slideshow at the top of the blog page (such as Thrive and Flourish), the first thing you will see is the Slideshow settings. The slideshow automatically displays the latest posts from your blog. For best results, ensure that you have assigned a featured image to each of your posts.

Firstly you can decided whether or not you want to display the slideshow. By default, this is set to be displayed. You can then choose the colour of the text that overlays the slideshow. You can choose either light or dark.

Finally you can choose the number of posts to show in the slideshow. Just be aware that the more posts you show, the longer your page will take too load.

Post Content

The Post Content options allow you to customise what is displayed for each blog post on the page.

You can choose whether or not you want to display the featured image, the post categories, the post date and the post author.

Pagination Style

The Pagination Style section allows you to choose the style of pagination that is displayed at the bottom of the page. There are two options; Numbers or Text Links.

Single Blog Post

Post Content

The Post Content options allow you to customise what is displayed for each blog post.

You can choose whether or not to show the featured image, the post category, the post date, the post author, sharing icons at the end of the post and related posts at the end of the post.

Single Page

On the single pages, you can choose whether or not to display the featured image for that page at the top page.

Don’t forget that you can also use our page builder to customise your pages. For more information, see our tutorials on using the page builder.

Archive Pages

On the archives page you can decided whether or not you would like to show the featured image along side the posts in your archives.

You can also choose how many posts you would like to show per page and the style of pagination.

Search Results Page

On the search results page you can decided whether or not you would like to show the featured image along side the search results.

You can also choose how many posts you would like to show per page and the style of pagination.

Portfolio Pages
